Audio files this pitch shifter can open

Choose one MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, or M4A file. Actual decoding support comes from your browser; current Chrome and Edge can read these formats.

The file is decoded, analyzed, transposed, previewed, and exported on your device. There is no account, upload queue, or server copy.

Change the key of a song one semitone at a time

Move from −12 to +12 semitones in whole-step clicks. Each semitone moves the detected root note by one chromatic step while keeping the detected major or minor mode, then the page shows the matching Camelot code.

Use a negative value to lower the key of a song or a positive value to raise it. This transpose audio tool keeps the original duration instead of making the song faster or slower.

03

When a large pitch shift sounds unnatural

Pitch shifting rebuilds short overlapping pieces of the waveform. Large changes can add metallic, robotic, or smeared artifacts, especially on exposed vocals, sharp drums, dense mixes, and live recordings. Smaller shifts usually sound more natural.

The displayed key is an estimate from the original recording, then transposed by the selected number of semitones. Confirm the result by ear before performing or mixing.

Pitch shifter FAQ

How do I change pitch without changing speed?

Choose a file, set the semitone shift, preview the rendered result, and export it. The page changes pitch while keeping the original duration.

Can I change the key of a song?

Yes. The page estimates the original key and shows the transposed key and Camelot code after every semitone change.

How do I lower the key of a song?

Click the minus button or choose a negative semitone value. For example, −2 moves every note down by two semitones.

What does transpose audio mean?

It means moving every note higher or lower by the same musical interval while keeping the rhythm and duration aligned.

Does this pitch shifter upload my song?

No. Decoding, key estimation, pitch shifting, preview, and WAV creation all run inside this browser tab.
